These charming, sweet birds are abundant in Hawaii. They flock in big groups, and argue among themselves and snuggled in pairs, looking cute, beautiful, and lovable. They set up nests in big dense trees, and makehome under the eves of buildings. Sadly, in Hawaii, they are also being exterminated in the wild, and treated as pests by local farmers . We care for them in the wild daily, filling their bird baths with fresh water, giving them plenty nutritious seed that they love, and fresh clean water that they crave to drink .
So they can enjoy a carefree, happy, and healthy life. looking forward to their ' Happy Bird Hour ' everyday...
It is their divine right !
Help Protect and conserve the Java Sparrow.
They are very popular and loved as caged birds, and are highly valued for it's sociabilty and intellegence.
They line up on the tree branch patiently everday for the afternoon buffet.
Often times when the grass is cut short in the park , it is harder for the birds to find their grass seeds. That is why they are so excited to party and eat the millet I put in the feeding trays, which I custom built for them .... they sure are the happiest birds in the area.
